The Burden of the Word of the Lord

I have loved you, and you say: “How hast Thou loved us?”

Yes I have loved you,  3 and I also hated you.  I  made your mountains a desolation, and appointed your heritage for the jackals of the wilderness. 4 Though you said: “We will build up the ruins and the desolate places”. Thus I said: “You will build, and I will tear down.”

“Where is My honor, Where is My respect I say unto you?

You are presenting Me defiled offerings and you say: “How have we defiled Thee?” 7 Why not offer these  to your kings and governors? Would they be pleased? Would they receive you kindly?

For I am a great King, I am not pleased with you.
